Remember that movie where Bill Murray and that kooky groundhog drive the truck off the cliff and then they wake up in the morning and the same day has just started over again? Heh, I don’t care much for Bill Murray, but any movie with a groundhog drivin’ a truck off a cliff… well that’s a movie that’s gonna make W’s top ten.
Now, I mention the groundhog movie as means to express how September 11 is starting to feel to me. Yesterday, Condi, me, and the rest of the gang held another memorial to mark the anniversary of that tragic event. I did pretty good - even made Condi cry. Part of my speech went like this: “History will look back at America's response and conclude that we did not tire," but guess what? I’m starting to tire… of giving the same speech every year.

I had this idea, that maybe if we could make somethin’ else happen on September 11, somethin’ real historic, then 9/11 would come to mean something else? Like this particle collider that people are sayin’ will create a black hole; I don’t really know the particulars, but what if we did that on 9/11? Then every year I could give speeches where I’d say stuff like “We come here to remember those who were shredded into the smallest possible pieces when they were swallowed by the black hole!” Best speech ever!
